How to Get Player's Information
This section describes the methods for obtaining a player's information, such as their Discord ID or In-Game Name (IGN).
Method 1: PGN Logs Discord Server
- Note the player's In-Game Name (IGN) while in the game server.
- Go to the PGN Logs Discord server.
- Use the Discord search function. It's recommended to limit the search to the
#join-logs channel for better results.
- Enter the player's IGN into the search bar.
- Matching logs will appear, often showing the player's Discord UID connecting with that IGN. Copy the Discord UID from the relevant log entry.
Tip: This method also works in reverse. If you have a Discord UID, you can search the logs to find associated IGNs.
Method 2: Staff Bot Command (PGN:U Discord)
- Go to the
#staff-bot-commands channel in the main PGN:U Discord server.
- Use the command:
?whois [Discord UID] (replace `[Discord UID]` with the actual ID you obtained).
- The bot will respond with information about the user, including their civilian rank, roles, and potentially other details.
