Discord DAs

This section outlines how to apply and log Disciplinary Actions (DAs) for rule violations that occur specifically within the PGN Underground Discord server.

Purpose

Discord DAs are issued when a user breaks a server rule within the Underground Discord environment itself (e.g., inappropriate messages, spam, rule violations in text/voice channels).

Determining Action

• Always refer first to the official PGN Disciplinary Guidelines to determine the appropriate action for the specific rule violation.
• If the specific situation isn't covered in the guidelines, check #discord-da-logs for precedents set by past DAs for similar offenses.
• If still unsure, ask for guidance in one of the staff communication channels before proceeding.

Issuing the DA

1. Go to the #staff-bot-commands channel in the PGN Underground Discord server.
2. Use the appropriate bot command to issue the DA. For example:
   • /warn [user] [reason]
   • /timeout [user] [duration] (this isn't with dyno)

Logging the DA

1. After issuing the DA via the bot, you MUST log it in the #discord-da-logs channel (in the UG Discord).
2. Use the following precise format for your log message:

Discord: [User's Discord Tag/ID]
UID: [User's Discord ID]
Reason: [Reason for the action]
DA: [Specific action taken - e.g., Warn, Timeout (duration), Kick, Ban]

Evidence Submission

• Create a thread from your log message in #discord-da-logs.
• All supporting evidence MUST be posted within that thread.
• Screenshots: MUST be FULL, uncropped screenshots clearly showing the violation and context.
• Video Evidence: MUST be uploaded as actual video files (e.g., .mp4, .mov). Do NOT link to external clip services.
